In Sindh province, recommendation to close mobile phones on 9 and 10 Muharram
Sindh government recommends shutting down mobile phones for 9th and 10th Muharram in the province in view of law and order situation. Home Secretary Sindh Kabir Qazi has recommended the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to discontinue mobile phone service in the procession and assembly areas. Internet and mobile service will not be shut down throughout the province. We have also directed all the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to identify the areas. Mobile service will be discontinued during the procession only in the recommended areas.
