President Trump nominates Robert O'Brien as New National Security Advisor

US President Donald Trump has nominated Robert O'Brien as the new National Security Advisor, replacing John Bolton.
President Trump is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert O'Brien as a National Security Advisor, announcing a new national security adviser. He added that he had worked with Robert before, that he would certainly do well. Robert will be replacing John Bolton.

Robert O'Brien will be the fourth National Security Advisor to be nominated by the US President, serving as Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs in the State Department.
