Ninth grade student killed by Jhang police torture

Even today, a tragic incident took place in Jhang, where a student lost his life due to violence in police custody. The 13-year-old was a student in the ninth grade. Survivors protested after the death.

Survivors said the police had arrested our three children a few days ago in a house and were demanding bribes that we could not pay, while today we learned that 13-year-old Nobhar was killed by police violence. The officials are not even giving him the blessing.

During the protest, relatives appealed to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar and IG Punjab Captain (R) Arif Nawaz Khan to take action.

On the other hand, DPO Jhang Attaur Rehman, taking notice of the incident, suspended CIA Abdullah Jappa, ASI Mubasar and ASI Ali Nawaz and two constables Liaquat and Saqlain. The SP ordered the investigation into the incident.

The protesters accused ASI Mubashir and ASI Ali Nawaz of detaining Nawabar child Abid Nawal. DSP Saifullah Bhatti, on the occasion, held talks with the protesters and assured them of action against those responsible.
