Winds of change in Punjab Aun Chaudhry, a close aide of the Prime Minister and former husband of Noor Bukhari, has been removed from office.
Aun Chaudhry, a close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been removed from the post of Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Bazdar. Adviser Aun Chaudhry has been retired, but his cause has not yet been revealed. Asif Chaudhry has been appointed as Advisor to the Chief Minister in place of Aun Chaudhry. Asif Mehmood will look into the affairs of Punjab Horticulture and Tourism. On the other hand, the news has been decided to include Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MP Malik Asad Khokhar in the cabinet. It has been approved to make Khokhar a provincial minister. Prominent Governor Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will take oath from Assad Khokhar. It may be recalled that Assad Khokhar also served as the chairman of the Punjab Complaint Cell. However, last month Member of the Punjab Assembly Asad Khokhar quit as the Chief Minister of Punjab Grievance Cell due to differences. Malik said Assad Khokhar had resigned for personal reasons. He says that as the chairman complains the salesman is unable to make time in his constituency. He said if any responsibility was given by the next government, they would surely work. However, sources say Assad Khokhar resigned from his post due to differences. After the resignation of Assad Khokhar, the complaints cell set up by the Chief Minister of Punjab had been deactivated. It has also been decided to make Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Abdul Aleem Khan once again part of the Punjab cabinet. It was reported that Prime Minister Imran Khan has also been approved to make Abdul Aleem Khan a part of the Punjab cabinet. The approval was given during the meeting of the Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar with Prime Minister Imran Khan. According to sources, Alim Khan is likely to be made the municipality.
