Response to aggression GoodWill, PM plans to inaugurate Kartarpur transit on November 9


Continuing work on Kartarpur transit project, Pakistan completed 86% of its work, remaining work will be completed in 45 days.


Kartarpur passenger project director Atif Majid told the media in a briefing that Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone of the project on November 28 last year. ۔ In the initial phase there will be arrival and accommodation of five thousand and later ten thousand passengers.

Atif Majid said that Baba Gronnak, Pakistan's largest gurdwara comprises 42 acres of land while Panj Sahib Gurdwara comprises four acres and Nankana Sahib Gurdwara comprises 14 acres.

He said the three-and-a-half year plan was completed in just ten months. 86% of the project work is completed, the remaining work will be completed in 45 days. Work on the 24-hour project is underway. Passengers will arrive from India on November 9.

Project director Kartarpur Rahdari said 76 immigration counters have been set up to accommodate and evacuate 5,000 passengers. A total of 152 counters have been set up for the transportation of 10,000 passengers.

He said that the Border Terminal has been constructed about 300 and a half meters from Zero Point. Passengers will be brought to Gurdwara by bus outside the terminal where they will be provided with facilities such as airports.

Atif Majid says that a canal has been dug to divert the river Ravi. The first phase is creating sophisticated tent villages for travelers with modern facilities. The construction area covers one million square feet.

He said that every Pakistani and Indian Sikh traveler will be able to enter Gurdwara after fingerprints. In addition, a pedestrian corridor has also been constructed.
